Congratulations to Micky Baker for taking first place in the Jesmond Dene Handicap Race last night.

On a hot Summers Evening, 5 Tyne Bridge Harriers registered for the 4th & final event in the Heaton Harriers hosted series & were set away in their allocated times from the gates of Armstrong Park to run the 5K undulating course.

Micky Baker - 1st Place

Although the overall turnout was lower than usual, the atmosphere was still great and Tyne Bridge Harriers athletes had good solid runs given the conditions.

Micky Baker looked strong all the way round the route and made his way steadily to the front of the field in the final section of the course to take the well deserved 1st place.

Well done also to Mark Reynolds for producing his fastest run of the JD series and a new course pb knocking 1:27 off his time back in May and also grabbing 6th place.
