Congratulations to Victoria Waugh who completed the Junior Mini Run yesterday on Newcastle / Gateshead Quayside. Running in the very tracks of one of her sporting heroes Mo Farah, Victoria ran a pleasing 20:59 and crossing the line in 55th position.

Pleasing, because Victoria has been unable to train for a while after picking up a calf injury and this was her first race back since that time. Vikki also beat one of her school XC rivals by 1 min 12 seconds who she hasn’t beaten before.

Victoria had a comfortable race and was looking very strong in the field as she passed the Tyne Bridge Harriers supporters at the Millennium Bridge who gave her the final push to the end.

So well done Victoria from all your supporters at the club and hope this marks a welcome return to training and racing.
