With the advantage of a canny handicap, it was Tyne Bridge’s very own Member of the Year, Rob Kirtley, who was first past the finishing line. Romping home in a time of 22m 26s (real time of 19m 46s), Rob was almost 3 minutes ahead of the second placed runner, Victoria Waugh.
Despite the chilly conditions, there was a terrific turn-out of 46 runners, with seemingly just as many volunteers around the 5k course.
Well done to everyone who took part, particularly TC who recorded the quickest run of the night (16m 04s), and many thanks to all those helping out during the race.
A set of provisional results are shown below, but if you have any queries with either your time or finishing position, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Romping Rob, a new nickname for a newly revitalized runner. He walked the final mile of the grand prix race in November. I didn’t know that he was just hustling for a decent handicap! Seriously, tonight Rob displayed the TBH spirit in spades. Enjoy it when you are in good form but dig deep when you’re struggling. Rob dug deep tonight and unearthed gold. Brilliant stuff.
thanks for the support Sean.. really appreciated !!
4 runners sub 17, 4 runners sub 18, 8 runners sub 18, bodes very well for club. 11 year old running 20.20 , good times ahead

I love seeing typo’s on comments. You know what it should read but can’t help chuckle at what is actually typed. Good one tonight fob, you dashed around the course like you like a rocket up your arsr.
Let me be the 1st to congratulate on the comments of TBH website (as it has been going on all night on fbook) . DD for getting these times out so quick, Shades AKA Rob Kirtley for winning, Victoria 2nd, Imran 3rd. Loads of PBs and everyone played there part in making it another memorable night, marshals, supporters and runners
Thanks especially to Kevin Jeffress who came all the way from Seaham and got a PB for his 1st ever 5k race 17.24.

Great to see the Shadey one running well again. Looking forward to seeing some pb’s from Shades in 2012. Excellent performances across the board, well tone to all who took part and thanks to the marshals and timekeepers.
Damned those pesky typos, DD will be chuckling now
