On a bitterly cold day, 15 hardy Tyne Bridge Harriers took part in the 103rd Newcastle parkrun event, which also doubled as the 4th race in the club’s Winter parkrun series.

First finisher for the club was Daniel Birchall in a time of 18m 40s, mightily impressive considering the strong westerly winds that made for terrible running conditions. Closely following Dan over the line was David Appleby, finishing in 18m 51s. A mention has to go to Louis Goffe, who despite recording a time of 24m 39s, actually turned up late for the event (possibly by 5 or 6 minutes) and had the ardious task of chasing after the main pack of runners on his own.

First female club member to finish was Emma Moir, in a time of 25m 16s.

There was a record attendance of 327 participants for the run, and the first male to finish was Michael HEDLEY (Jesmond Joggers) in a time of 00:18:01. The first lady completing the course was Stacey ROGERS (Wallsend Harriers & AC) in a time of 00:18:55.
