Start of the inaugural Bridges Of The Tyne 5 Mile Road Race

Morpeth Harrier Ross Floyd takes the honour of winning the inaugural Bridges Of The Tyne 5 Mile Road Race on Newcastle Quayside in a time of 25:55. on a rainy evening 273 runners turned out to take part in this exciting new race on the North East calendar. Thank you to everyone for making this race a huge success and also using some fresh sports betting deals. Results are now available.

  16. Congratulations on a adding a great new event to the North East running calendar. Good choice of race HQ, plenty of marshals, a fast flat course, very smart T-shirt and a speedy results service. Nice touch having the Olympic rings on the Tyne bridge too. Yeah – I think you got it right ;-) I hope this becomes a regular event.

  17. Well worth the mad dash after work from Leeds and then 5.30am get up this morning to be back for work. Really enjoyed it. Hope it becomes an annual event – I’ll definitely be back next year. thanks to everyone for a great event – really well organised, very friendly/helpful marshalls and always good to have the finish line and prize giving next to/in the pub!

  18. Congratulations to TBH for organising what looked to be a brilliant event. Unfortunately I didn’t get to take part in the race but from a spectators view it was really well organised, looked like a good fast course with the bridges of the Tyne setting the scene. Count me in for next year !

  21. Thanks to TBH from an Over 65 York Knavesmire Harrier who was very surprised to receive the prize for first O/65 in todays post! We old codgers are not used to such things. I was working in Newcastle last week and so thought that I’d try out the run – which I thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to all at TBH for putting on such an excellent event.
