On an evening of high quality racing, 28 Tyne Bridge members took part in this year’s Sunderland 5k Road Race, with Sparrow Morley being first home for the club in 20th place overall, thanks to a terrific time of 16:01.
The 5k race – which also doubled up as the 4th race of The TBH Cup – was won by Lewis Timmins (Morpeth Harriers) in a blistering time of 14.40, with Alyson Dixon (Sunderland Strollers) winning the Ladies race with a superb time of 15.52.
I’m not sure but I think several members ran a 5k PB during the race, in which case, many congratulations.
