Hexhamshire Hobble Fell Race.
As members were setting off along the Northumberland coastline, another group of members were setting off across the fells and moorland of Northumberland countryside for this year’s Hexhamshire Hobble fell race. There were six members representing the club (with John Tollitt running under the guise of Northumberland Fell Runners) and pick of the runners was David Beech, who finished in 3rd place overall.
But having done the ‘Hobble’ several times myself I know how tough the race is and everyone should be congratulated for taking part.

Will all members please take note of Doc Dans superior levels of posing. A dropped hip at every opportunity
David Beech is adopting a pretty mean pose himself in his photograph. Has the Doctor got some competition?
He’s certainly got the knee drop to perfection!
never miss an opportunity Apples …
blyth sands was great fun, fantastic conditions. the tide was coming in so we spent a lot of time in the wash of the waves, which wasn’t easy. also managed to fall over a groyne which didn’t help. still one of my favourite races.
Haha brilliant! looking awesome everyone!
Good turnout from TBH, really enjoyed the run & recovery. Thanks DoubleD for the support.
Results for actual times have been updated on the blyth website!
