NEMAA Cross Country Championships: 8th March 2014

Well done to everyone who competed on Saturday at the re-arranged NEMAA championships.

In the women’s race, Kym Eden finished 2nd V35 (4th overall) and was followed over the line by Lindsay Walsh (3rd V40 / 5th overall) and Lucy Matheson (6th overall). Strong pack running resulted in the three lasses winning Gold Medals in the Ladies team prize.

For the Men, Dave Moir had another storming run, finishing 3rd overall and 2nd V45 behind the legendary Stewy Bell, and Tim Kelso was also amongst the medal winners, collecting bronze in the M35 category.

Dave, Tim and Mal Gibson won silver in the Men’s team competition.

East Hull 20: 9th March 2014.

Many congratulations to Shaun Brown on his fantastic time of 1:59:46 in the East Hull 20.

Shaun, currently training for the Virgin London Marathon, finished 3rd Senior Male (4th place overall).

Brough Law Fell Race: 9th March 2014

The club had five members competing in this year’s event although two of them were running under the guise of Northumberland Fell Runners (boo!! ;-) ). Well done to all the guys who tackled the event.

Durham Town and Gown 10k: Sunday 9th March

Over 320 runners took part in the first-ever Durham Town and Gown 10k and raised over £10,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
