Besides finishing 15th overall, Tyne Bridge were also 3rd North-East club (behind Morpeth and Gateshead Harriers, who finished 3rd and 12th overall respectively).

Although a great achievement by the team and a fantastic day for the club, the occasion is marred slightly by the fact this was Kev Jeffress’ last race for Tyne Bridge. I’m sure I speak on behalf of everyone at the club when I thank him for all that he has done for the Tyne Bridge and wish him all the best for the future.

  1. Massive well done to lads today, to qualify for the nationals is a huge achievement and one we should be very proud of. To achieve it in only the third year of the clubs existence is nothing short of amazing. Thanks to the 12 who did us proud today.
