The final Start Fitness North East Harrier League fixture takes place this Saturday, 22nd March 2014, and in a change from recent seasons, the venue for the event is Wrekenton (Gateshead).

Due to parking issues at Prudhoe – the usual venue for the season finale – race organisors have had to relocate the final harrier league fixture to Wrekenton for the second time this season. But hey, mud’s mud, and we should be thankful that there is a race at all.

The TBH Senior Men currently lie 3rd in Division 1, still with a mathematical chance of winning the title (if someone could tell the lads from Morpeth and Durham the fixture is still at Prudhoe that would be a tremendous help ;-) ) and the Senior Women are safe in their Division, looking to consolidate their mid-table position. But as ever, the club are asking for as many members to turn-out as possible.

New members are encouraged to take part but they must pre-register prior to Saturday (contact Club Captain Paul Hilton if you want to compete).

Race HQ/Registrations will more than likely be located in the buildings at Cardinal Hume School on Old Durham Road.

The youngsters kick off proceedings just after mid-day, with the Ladies setting off around 13:10 and the Senior Men’s race starting at 14:15 (these times are approximate so please be ready at short notice).

Parking at Wrekenton

Parking is available at Cardinal Hume Catholic School, Old Durham Road, Beacon Lough, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear NE9 6RZ.
