Many thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s Bridges of the Tyne 5M road race.

Glorious sunshine greeted the runners as they tackled the out-and-back course along Newcastle quayside, and leading the way was Andy Burn (Jarrow & Hebburn) who took the honours ahead of Conrad Franks (Gateshead Harriers) and Kevin Jeffress (Sunderland Harriers).

In the ladies race, Alyson Dixon (Sunderland Strollers) was once again victorious, completing a hat-trick of wins on the quayside. Making up the top 3 ladies were Alex Snook (Jarrow & Hebburn) and Alison Dargie (Tyne Bridge Harriers).

Congratulations to Andy & Alyson
