The next block of training sessions are geared towards the North Eastern Cross Country Championships in December.

 

Tuesday, 9th September

Gp 1. 3 x 1200m, 3 x 800m, 3 x 1600m

Gp 2. 3 x 1200m, 3 x 800m, 3 x 1600m

Gp 3. 3 x 5 minutes, 3 x 3 minutes, 3 x 4 minutes

Gp 4. 3 x 5 minutes, 3 x 3 minutes, 3 x 4 minutes

Gp 5. 2 x 5 minutes, 2 x 3 minutes, 3 x 4 minutes

 

 

Wednesday, 10th September

Beginners Session, 6:30pm at East End Pool.

This session is for anyone who is completely new to running and who would like to experience the benefits and enjoyment of this leisure activity.  It will not involve speed work and will purely be about getting into the sport and experiencing the benefits of doing so with the support of a running club. Runners may then choose to progress into the Tuesday/Thursday sessions for more structured training if they wish to do so.

 

 

Thursday, 11th September

Gp 1. 5 x 1K, followed by 5 Hills

Gp 2. 5 x 1K, followed by 5 Hills

Gp 3. 5 x 1K, followed by 5 Hills

Gp 4. 5 x 1K, followed by 5 Hills

Gp 5. 4 x 1K, followed by 5 Hills

 

All sessions to include warm-up and cool-down runs, along with drills and post-run stretches.

 

 

New runners are always welcome along on a club night to try out the training sessions.

There’ll be no pressure to join, no expectation to run beyond your means and you won’t be left behind to run on your own.
