Well done to everyone who turned out today (Saturday, 11th October) at the first fixture of the 2014/15 Start Fitness North East Harrier League.

Glorious weather made for superb running conditions, and a strong turn-out by the club resulted in both the men and ladies coming top in their respective races

But aside from the winning start to the season, it was particularly pleasing to see every section of the club represented; from the TBH Juniors right through to the TBH Golden Oldies (I’m including myself in that category ;-) ) and members from Group 1 to Group 5 all having a go.

A special mention also for the ‘new’ members competing in their first ever cross-country race. Even if members don’t finish in the top 10, top 50 or even the top 100, at least they can say they gave it go and will undoubtedly become better runners because of it.

Big thanks to all the club members who went along to offer their support and many thanks to Blyth R.C. (event hosts) and to the race officials for putting on a terrific event.
