SOME IMPORTANT RACE INFORMATION
Race Day: Sunday 16th August 2015
Start Times: 10:00 – 1 Mile Race for young athletes
10:30 – 5K for senior & veteran athletes
It is YOUR responsibility to make sure you are at the start line in good time.
LOCATION: Start will be in Exhibition Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE2 4PZ. Near the Cafe In The Park.
CAR PARKING: There are parking spaces available at the entrance of Exhibition park on Claremont Road & limited spaces available on Brandling Park & Clayton Road. There may be a charge for parking, please check.
RACE NUMBERS TO BE COLLECTED ON THE DAY from Race HQ which is the Cafe In The Park.
Race numbers can be collected from 08:30
ENTRIES ARE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY – Race Fee + £1
CHIP TIMING: The race will be chip timed, and will be supplied with your race number.
PRIZES: Prizes awarded for each category will be based on GUN TIME
Prizes will be awarded as soon as possible on the day.
BAGGAGE: PLEASE NOTE that bags & personal belongings WILL NOT be able to be left in the cafe. Tyne Bridge Harriers are supplying some ‘baggage tents’ which will be attended by volunteers.
TOILETS: There will be portaloo cabins available at Race HQ
ONLINE ENTRIES: Online entries will close at midnight on THURSDAY 13th AUGUST. After this, you will only be able to enter on the day.
A start list will be published (of online & postal entries) on the Tyne Bridge Harriers website on FRIDAY 14th August.

Finally, just a few rules for on the day.
Rules On Race Day
1. Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers and city officials throughout the duration of the event.
2. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event.
3. Every participant shall be provided with a race number (which will need to be collected on the event day), which shall be conspicuously worn on the front during the event. The race number is to be worn as issued. No participant shall be permitted to participate in the event without the appropriate bib number.
4. The use of iPod’s / earphones / headphones should NOT be used by any competitors during the race.
