As you may have seen via social network over the past week, Tyne Bridge Harrier members have had the good fortune to be selected for a trip of a lifetime to the Great Ethiopian Run on the 22nd November 2015.
The success of TBH at the Great North Run resulted in the club entering into a draw along with other Great Run event winners. TBH were the lucky winners being picked out of the hat. The Great Run invited 7 male and 7 female runners to take part in the trip.
These are:
Ami-Jayne Browning, Cath Eaton, Dave Moir, John Hurse, Kenny Mac, Katherine Stephenson, Laura Irving, Lucy Matheson, Matty Tomlinson, Rachel Clewlow, Sophie Marr, Terry Scott , Tim Kelso and Tom Charlton
The lucky 14 will not only be representing TBH in the GER 10k, they have a packed itinerary including:
* Staying at Haile Gebresalassie’s hotel & training resort
* Training runs with special invited guests including 5,000 & 10,000 world and Olympic record holder Kenenisa Bekele
* Visits to local landmarks
TBH would like to thank Great Run for the amazing prize and opportunity as well as wishing those taking part a fantastic experience!

Well done the lucky 14, fantastic once in a lifetime opportunity, enjoy ;o),
FANTASTIC !! very well done and have a brilliant time
I hope everyone has a great time in Ethiopia, and after reading this month’s Runners World magazine, I’d recommend the 14 members pack dancing shoes rather than the running type
