Despite the chilly conditions and brisk westerly wind blowing along the quayside, it was heartening to see so many runners take part in Race 2 of the TBH Winter Grand Prix (Tuesday, 1st November 2016).
A grand total of 95 runners finished the 5K race, with Trudie Cheetham first over the finishing line in a time of 29:00.
First timer Deborah Morrison was second, with fellow newcomer Tom Moro in 3rd.
Due to the nature of the event, with faster runners having to wait their turn before setting off, it led to a fast and frantic finish to the race, with just 91 seconds separating those between 5th and 71st positions. So hats off to all those involved with marshalling the finishing line & funnel and huge thanks to all the volunteers around the course.
Tom Charlton posted the quickest time of the evening (16:13) with Lucy Turzynski fastest lady (19:34).
