NEHL Fixture 6: Alnwick Pastures, Saturday, 4 March 2017

Going into the final fixture of the season, the club had already secured the Senior Men’s Championship and were hoping to complete the ‘double’ by winning the Senior Ladies title too.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be, with TBH ladies being pipped to the title by North Shields Poly (Congratulations NSP) but nevertheless, to finish 2nd in a competition as strong as the North East Harrier League is still a fantastic achievement by the ladies.

Below are a couple of comments following today’s event.

Well, what can i say Ladies – what a race to finish the season, we finish in a very respectable 2nd place. It was a nail biting finish. Through sun, wind, rain and mud, we’ve had a huge turnout to all the fixtures through 16/17, from all training groups. You showed great team spirit and everyone supported, encouraged and cheered each other through every step. Our turnout gets stronger each year.

Well done to the Poly and if you’re reading, this, we’ll be back next season to win that Trophy back (ps Congratulations to you all!) :-)

So to all the TBH Cross Country Lasses, you’ve done the club proud – WELL DONE!!

Dont forget it’s the End of Season Harrier League knees up, Saturday 11th March. See you all there ;-)

Catherine Eaton (TBH Ladies Captain)

Each and every member of TBH who played a part in the NEHL this season should be incredibly proud of themselves. We are an outstanding club with outstanding members. RUN TBH!
