Unfortunately, we have had to make the very difficult, but probably not surprising, decision to cancel the Bridges of the Tyne 5 Mile Road Race on 7th July 2020.  This is due to the ongoing health concerns surrounding the Covid-19 virus and the uncertainty as to when events will again be allowed to take place again. There will, therefore, be no Bridges of the Tyne 5 Mile Road Race in 2020 and, for those who have entered, your place will automatically transfer to 6th July 2021. We will be posting details soon for anyone who wants a refund but, please bear in mind, that you will then have to reapply for a place in next year’s race. As it’s a very popular race there is no guarantee that you will get a place. Transfers for the 2021 race will remain open until shortly before the race itself. Further information about the closing date for transfers will appear on our Facebook page in 2021.

You will all receive an email soon with all information and options available to you. We are volunteers so we would please ask that you do not email us until we have sent out the information email to you. We will then get back to you as soon as we possibly can.

See you again next year on the 6th July and, in the meantime, look after yourselves.
