The tone for the day was set for TBH by the time the under 11 boys race set off. Our rising star, Leodhais Macpherson was turned away from the start by an official as he had just celebrated his 11th birthday. It was unclear whether or not he was permitted to run with the under 11s,
Mr Moir sends in this report 'fresh' from the field of the Newcastle Town Moor Marathon. The idea of a 5 lap marathon puts many people off this marathon, but not 4 hardy TBH-ers. People often consider it to be an easy but boring course, but I’ve always found it to be a bit trickier than just that.
North East Harrier League (NEHL) fixture, taking place at Farringdon Community Sports College, Sunderland this Saturday, 29th October 2011. As usual, Race HQ/Registrations will be located at Farringdon Community Sports College (usually the main hall). The provisional timetable of events is as follows:
Tyne Bridge Harriers‘ very own Tony ‘TC’ Carter was the first Brit to cross the line at the Venice City Marathon at the weekend. He reports back from his ‘Epic Win’ at the VCM
Today, I received an email from the Scotland Masters Manager Alistair McFarlane telling me that I have been selected for the International against England, Northern Ireland, Eire and Wales at Bellahouston Park on November 26th 2011, 2 days before my 44th birthday.
Saturday the 22nd of October 2011 heralded the Scottish Cross Country Relay Championships at Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. So while my fellow Tyne Bridge Harriers were making a name for themselves in far flung places like Venice and South Shields I was up in Scotland running for Cambuslang.
Well done to the 5 gents who represented Tyne Bridge Harriers on Saturday by putting in some solid performances.

Despite the ghastly weather conditions and a last minute change to the route (who knew the Swing Bridge was still in operation?), there were some magnificent performances in the first race of the Winter Grand Prix.

This week’s training sessions are; Tuesday 18th First race […]
After failing to make it to the start line of Edinburgh Marathon earlier this year through injury, I was hit with jealousy to see everyone setting off from the start line when I went up in May to support 2 friends and fellow TBH runners taking part in the event.
Tyne Bridge Harriers had 10 athletes taking part in the weekly FREE timed event at Newcastle Town Moor on Saturday. Conditions were absolutely superb as 09:00 came and the starter got the 92nd race underway.
The Kielder Marathon was my first run as a Tyne Bridge Harrier, and this is my inaugural race report. It was an eventful day, but I will keep it short. After I learned that Elspeth Lawson, the other Tyne Bridge Harrier at the start, was taking the fun bus from Newcastle,
