The draw for the two guaranteed Club Entries into the 2012 Virgin London Marathon took place last night just before the training session. We are delighted to announce that the two lucky winners of the highly coveted places are....
On a chilly evening down by the River Tyne, a magnificent 37 members turned up to compete in the second race of this year's Winter Grand Prix Series. However, unlike the first contest which was a straight race, tonight's race brought the handicap system in use.
10 Club Athletes represented Tyne Bridge Harriers on Saturday morning on the Town Moor / Exhibition Park, for the 96th running of Newcastle parkrun. The course had been changed to accommodate safety measures due to the increasing number of runners that are taking part. The new route is considered to be faster too. 261 runners waited at the line for the 09:00 start.

Just a reminder everyone that this Tuesday (15th November) is our Winter Series down on the Quayside, it is an exact 5k distance and crosses 2 of the Tyne's Bridge's - Millenium Bridge and the Swing Bridge.

Saturday 5th November marked the 2nd race in the Tyne Bridge Harriers Winter GP Race 2011. We had 7 athletes taking part in this event.

The tone for the day was set for TBH by the time the under 11 boys race set off. Our rising star, Leodhais Macpherson was turned away from the start by an official as he had just celebrated his 11th birthday. It was unclear whether or not he was permitted to run with the under 11s,
North East Harrier League (NEHL) fixture, taking place at Farringdon Community Sports College, Sunderland this Saturday, 29th October 2011. Today, I received an email from the Scotland Masters Manager Alistair McFarlane telling me that I have been selected for the International against England, Northern Ireland, Eire and Wales at Bellahouston Park on November 26th 2011, 2 days before my 44th birthday.
