On Your Marks… We are very happy to announce that Tyne Bridge Harriers will be joining forces with our very good friends at Heaton Harriers as a combined team for the 2012 Northern Athletics Track & Field Season.
Despite the ghastly weather conditions and a last minute change to the route (who knew the Swing Bridge was still in operation?), there were some magnificent performances in the first race of the Winter Grand Prix.

Tomorrow (18th October) sees the first race in the Tyne Bridge Harriers Winter Grand Prix series. An exact 5K looped course of Newcastle Quayside, taking in crossings of both the Swing Bridge and the Millennium Bridge.

Leodhais Macpherson is Tyne Bridge Harriers youngest but yet one of the oldest members. His idol is Mo Farah, the World 5000 metre champion and without doubt the most accomplished runner the UK has known for many a year.
