Tyne Bridge Harriers had 8 club athletes out on New Years Day to take on the Resolution Run. Its a two lap course mainly on grass which takes in both the hills on Newcastles Town Moor. The annual race is organised by Paramjeet Bhogal of Heaton Harriers and this year was sponsored by sports & fitness suppliers Up & Running in Gosforth.

Saturday the 10th of December 2011 heralded the North East County Championships, one of the biggest club races in the calendar. Tyne Bridge Harriers in its inaugural year were, as usual, well represented and they had their new flag flew majestically amongst the other club flags & the embattlement of tents at the race venue.

We had 8 club athletes taking part in the 3rd of our Newcastle parkrun Winter GP races on Saturday. Points are calculated using the Age Grade %. The athlete with the most points at the end of the series of 6 races is deemed the Winner. Current GP table will be published on here soon.

Elspeth Lawson sends in this report from yesterdays NEHL meeting at Blaydon. I got up on Saturday morning pleased to see that it was neither raining or as cold as I had feared it would be. There were rumours of a high wind when I logged into TBH Facebook group but I didn’t let that worry me!
Tyne Bridge Harriers had 8 athletes representing the club at Newcastle Town Moor on Saturday. Great conditions on the course as 274 runners lined up at the start. Congratulations to Caroline Clapp who recorded a brand new PB of 21:44 knocking 2 mins 44 seconds of her previous time.

On a chilly evening down by the River Tyne, a magnificent 37 members turned up to compete in the second race of this year's Winter Grand Prix Series. However, unlike the first contest which was a straight race, tonight's race brought the handicap system in use.
10 Club Athletes represented Tyne Bridge Harriers on Saturday morning on the Town Moor / Exhibition Park, for the 96th running of Newcastle parkrun. The course had been changed to accommodate safety measures due to the increasing number of runners that are taking part. The new route is considered to be faster too. 261 runners waited at the line for the 09:00 start.
Saturday 5th November marked the 2nd race in the Tyne Bridge Harriers Winter GP Race 2011. We had 7 athletes taking part in this event.
Phil Brown has posted this excellent report from the Lancaster Half on Sunday. Three months ago, my mate Mark had asked me if I fancied doing the Lancaster Half Marathon with him in November. Since our last race (my first) back in March, we needed another challenge to keep us motivated, so we signed up and started training again.
