Hi everybody,
Welcome to 2025 and another successful year of training and racing!
Training resumes this week. First, a few reminders as we get back into the swing of things – especially as the nights are still dark and cold. Details of training are lower down the email.
Running kit essentials: All juniors running outside must wear suitable clothing for the weather (e.g. base layers, gloves etc if it is very cold) and at least one prominent item of hi-vis clothing (e.g. bright green, yellow, pink t-shirt). Please make sure your junior is appropriately dressed.
Wednesday training: New drop off and pick up for U12 juniors. U12 juniors will be dropped off and picked up from the fire exit doors in the main hall. The door opens at 5.55pm for drop off and will be opened at 6.55pm for collection. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and watch the session in the hall.
Northerns and National Cross Country championships. If your junior is interested in these events, please contact Paul O’Mara asap to register and / or with any questions. The Northerns take place 25 January at Tatton Park, Cheshire (club transport available), and the Nationals are 22 February in London (club contribution of £20 to the train fare of each runner). (Comment on Paul’s Facebook posts or see the weekly email for Paul’s email address)
