Well done to all juniors who competed in the Memorial Race on the Town Moor on Sunday and got a rather nice medal to show for it! Check out our Facebook page for pictures.

Reminder: the next Harrier League cross country is on Saturday 23 November at the new venue of Eltringham Farm. Save the date. The club is doing a Parkrun takeover at Jesmond Dene on Saturday 7 December. All juniors, parents and guardians are welcome to the run and for a coffee afterwards in the café.  Further information to follow.  Runners must be registered with Parkrun for their barcode: home | parkrun UK

National Cross Country Championships.  The club is promoting the national XC championships at Parliament Hill in London on Saturday 22 February to all members, including juniors. More information on entry via the club to follow.  Parents and guardians will need to organise their juniors’ transport and accommodation separately but each runner will receive a £20 contribution to their expenses from the club.  If you have a question about the race, or your junior is interested, you can email coach Paul O’Mara:  pomara23@googlemail.com

Training w/c Monday 18 November

Quayside run for eligible over 12 juniors* only: 6-7pm Monday 18 November   

Steady out and back run for over 12 juniors who can run a comfortable sub 30mins 5k. Meet at the Cycle Hub car park (free of charge after 6pm): Quayside, NE6 1BU. The Cycle Hub – It’s all about the bike

(*Important note: Juniors who attend this session must be over 12 and must have already agreed with a coach that they can attend. Juniors should not just turn up as they will not be able to join the session.)

All juniors training: 6-7pm Wednesday 20 November

Meet: Newcastle School for Girls, Brandling Sports Hall, NE2 4RU.

All under 12s must be collected by parents / guardians from inside the hall for safeguarding reasons: no exceptions.

Juniors must wear hi-vis clothing (green, yellow, pink colours etc). This is essential kit and juniors will not be allowed to run outside without it.

All parents and guardians may stay to watch the session in the hall.
