Saturday 8th October sees the return of the North East Harrier League Cross country Events. Tyne Bridge Harriers will be starting in Division 3 in our first year in the league and we would like to get as many Black & White shirts out on the field as possible.
In ‘blazing’ conditions Tyne Bridge Harriers blazed to glory at the final Start Fitness NEHL meeting at Prudhoe today. On a challenging and gruelling course, both Mens & Womens teams cemented

Following another excellent & successful day at NEHL Wrekenton meeting on Saturday, we have another two fantastic race reports that have been sent in. First up Janine Swail describes her first experience of Cross Country Racing and the North East Harrier League for the ladies team.

The Northern Athletics Cross Country Championships 2012 will take place on Saturday 28th January at Pontefract Park (Racecourse), Wakefield. Elspeth Lawson sends in this report from yesterdays NEHL meeting at Blaydon. I got up on Saturday morning pleased to see that it was neither raining or as cold as I had feared it would be. There were rumours of a high wind when I logged into TBH Facebook group but I didn’t let that worry me!

Saturday the 22nd of October 2011 heralded the Scottish Cross Country Relay Championships at Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. So while my fellow Tyne Bridge Harriers were making a name for themselves in far flung places like Venice and South Shields I was up in Scotland running for Cambuslang.
The NEHL Sherman Cup & Davison Shield meeting will be held on Saturday 22nd October at the Temple Memorial Park (just off John Reid Road, A1300), South Shields.

With many of our fastest runners unavailable, the men won the team competition, beating Gateshead by only 4 points. Every place gained over the six miles counted towards this historic victory.
