Tyne Bridge Harriers celebrated their official 1st Anniversary this week. It was 12 months ago that 14 members of Tyne Bridge Harriers (then under the short lived name of Newcastle Harriers) got together at the East End Pool in Byker for the very first training session
At the beginning of 2011 when Tyne Bridge Harriers was newly formed and starting to gain a significant rise in membership, the idea to have a sweepstake – for a bit of fun and to encourage recruitment – to guess the amount of signed up athletes the club would have at the end of the year came into fruition.
Tyne Bridge Harriers recently welcomed our 100th signing to the club. Actually, it was two. Both James Robson & Holly White joined with TBH together on the same night qualifying them both as joint 100th members !!.
We are very honoured and thrilled to announce that Mark Allison the remarkable Geordie athlete who ran 3,100 miles from California to New York recently and raised over £100,000 for charity yesterday joined Tyne Bridge Harriers.
