Elspeth Lawson sends in this report from yesterdays NEHL meeting at Blaydon. I got up on Saturday morning pleased to see that it was neither raining or as cold as I had feared it would be. There were rumours of a high wind when I logged into TBH Facebook group but I didn’t let that worry me!

North East Harrier League (NEHL) fixture, taking place at Farringdon Community Sports College, Sunderland this Saturday, 29th October 2011. As usual, Race HQ/Registrations will be located at Farringdon Community Sports College (usually the main hall). The provisional timetable of events is as follows:
The NEHL Sherman Cup & Davison Shield meeting will be held on Saturday 22nd October at the Temple Memorial Park (just off John Reid Road, A1300), South Shields.
Never in the history of the North-East Harrier League has a club in Division Three won, outright, the team competition. Until now that is… We did it! With many of our fastest runners unavailable, the men won the team competition, beating Gateshead by only 4 points. Every place gained over the six miles counted towards this historic victory.
Here are the dates of the 2011/12 NEHL XC Season. We would like a huge turnout in runners and supporters for ALL of these events this year for our first year in the competition.
The (shadow) General Secretary of the North East Harrier League, Micky Baker has sent the following fixtures regarding this seasons competition
We would like to congratulate two of our club members for their two new recent & important appointments. Firstly, congratulations to our Club Treasurer Dave Moir for his appointment onto the committee
Congratulations to Tony Carter who finished 18th overall, 3rd in fast pack and 4th fastest on day at 29.44
